The meeting, which took place at 9:30 AM, saw the active participation of the University's key decision-makers and those responsible for shaping the character and values of the institution's students. The Values Formation Program has long been a cornerstone of NEMSU's educational philosophy, aiming to foster not only academic excellence but also the development of well-rounded and morally responsible individuals.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Suazo, presented the Values Formation Program of the University and has emphasized the vital role of values in education. She stated, "In a rapidly changing world, it is essential that we provide our students not only with knowledge but also with a strong moral foundation. We must continuously strive to improve it to meet the evolving needs of our students."
Coordinators from the different campuses shared their insights and best practices and the gaps and challenges encountered among students, faculty, and stakeholders, creating a collaborative environment for discussing effective strategies to instill values such as integrity, empathy, and social responsibility among students.
University President Prof. Loayon commended the dedication of the Values Formation Coordinators and stressed the University's commitment to promoting a values-driven educational experience.
