Cagwait, Surigao del Sur - August 5, 2024, North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) through Lianga Campus has reached a significant milestone in its internationalization journey with the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) and Ghent University.

Cagwait, Surigao del Sur — The North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Tandag Campus held its Family Day at Cagwait Beach Resort on October 3-4, 2024, in celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. Themed “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” the event aimed to strengthen camaraderie and foster a sense of community among the university's teaching and non-teaching personnel.

The two-day activity brought together faculty and staff from the Tandag Campus for a variety of activities designed to promote both spiritual and recreational well-being.

The event began with a Thanksgiving Mass and a Praise and Worship session, followed by a Spiritual Enhancement Seminar. These opening activities set a reflective tone, emphasizing the value of personal growth and connection, both with one another and with their faith.

After the spiritual sessions, the participants engaged in traditional Filipino games, known as Laro ng Lahi, adding an element of fun and nostalgia to the day. Teams competed in classic games, promoting teamwork and friendly competition. As the festivities continued into the evening, participants eagerly anticipated a series of surprising contests, including the “Pageant with a Twist,” a Lip Sync Battle, and a Dance Showdown, all designed to entertain and showcase the hidden talents of the NEMSU community.

The Family Day celebration will conclude tomorrow, October 4, 2024, as participants reflect on the values of agility, unity, and the spirit of service that define the modern public servant.
