The three-day Training and Establishment of the SDSSU Multidisciplinary Research Journal Open Journal System (OJS) Version 3 commenced today, July 23, 2025, at the NEMSU ICT Laboratory. The activity is being guided by Mr. Emerson B. Endiola, the OJS in-charge of the Recoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal, which runs on the 3.2 version and holds a Q3 ranking in Scopus.

Mr. Endiola's extensive expertise has been pivotal in steering the transition from OJS Version 2 to the upgraded Version 3, which is a crucial step as it enhances the functionality of the journal, aligning it with the required standards for inclusion in recognized indexing bodies, a goal that has been a priority for the SMRJ Editorial Team.

Currently, SMRJ operates on OJS Version 2, which may be limiting its potential for reaching higher visibility and academic recognition. The transition to Version 3 is not just a technical update, but a significant move toward elevating the journal’s international stature.
