"Decades of Sculpting Better Lives: North Eastern Mindanao State University - Cantilan Campus 14th University Commencement Exercises".

The North Eastern Mindanao State University - Cantilan Campus held its Graduation Ceremony on June 27, 2023, 1:00 PM at the NEMSU-Cantilan Campus Center for Culture and the Arts. The ceremony served as the culminating event of a two-day celebration, honoring the graduates and their achievements.

The Graduation Ceremony commenced with a remarkable Academic Procession, featuring distinguished participants, including Academic Marshals, Candidates for Graduation, Administrative Staff, University Faculty Members, Key Officials of the University, Guests, Board of Regents, University Mace, University President, Commencement Speaker, and The Colors. The procession showcased the collective accomplishments of the university community and set the stage for the momentous event.

Dr. Catherine F. Solomon, PhD (C), VPA/Board Secretary V, delivered the pronouncement, officially commencing the proceedings. The NEMSU-Cantilan Hugyaw Chorale, under the skilled direction of Mr. Paul Carmel C. Buniel, evoked a sense of pride and patriotism as they performed the Philippine National Anthem, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration.

Ms. Jasmin D. Cubillan, a distinguished graduate and Magna Cum Laude from the BSED-Science program, delivered a heartfelt salutation. She expressed gratitude and recognized the collective achievements of the graduating class, acknowledging the dedication and hard work that led them to this significant milestone.

An Audiovisual Presentation by Sen. Francis Joseph "Chiz" G. Escudero, Chair of the Senate Committee on Higher Technical Vocational Education, captivated the audience with an enlightening message. Sen. Escudero's words of inspiration resonated with the graduates as they embarked on their future paths. He emphasized the importance of the youth, not only as the hope of the nation but also as reliable contributors to its progress and development.

Ramona Liza A. Espenido, MST-SS, Registrar III, took the stage to attest that all graduation requirements had been fulfilled by the candidates, validating their eligibility for graduation. Dr. Juancho A. Intano, the esteemed Campus Director, proudly presented the candidates for graduation, commending their dedication and hard work throughout their academic journey.

Dr. Nemesio G. Loayon, University President III, confirmed the graduates, instilling a sense of accomplishment and pride in their hearts as they officially transitioned from students to alumni. This significant moment symbolized the culmination of their academic endeavors and the beginning of new chapters in their lives.

A moment of recognition and appreciation followed as Dr. Nemesio G. Loayon, the University President, assisted by the Campus Director, Dr. Juancho A. Intano, presented a Plaque of Commendation to the Commencement Speaker. This gesture acknowledged the speaker's invaluable presence and contribution to the event, highlighting the significance of their role in inspiring and motivating the graduating class.

Jo Mark M. Libre, DPA, CHED Commissioner Chair, NEMSU Board of Regents, conveyed a heartfelt message through an Audiovisual Presentation. The presentation emphasized the value of education and its transformative power. It underscored the potential of the graduates to create positive change and contribute to society, reflecting the theme of the ceremony, "Decades of Sculpting Better Lives, Envisioning a Better World."

The meritorious graduates who achieved Latin Honors were honored and awarded their well-deserved medals by Dr. Nemesio G. Loayon, the University President. This recognition served as a testament to their exceptional academic performance and represented the culmination of their hard work and dedication.

Representing Atty. Winston L. Plaza, Director IV - Civil Service Commission Caraga Regional Office, Zandroval B. Laganao, CSCFO of Surigao del Sur Supervising Human Resource Specialist, had the privilege of presenting the Civil Service Commission Eligibility awards to the deserving graduates. This accomplishment added another significant milestone to the graduates' achievements, further enhancing their future prospects.

Ms. Jean Vanessa B. Sapuras, the esteemed Magna Cum Laude graduate from the BSED-Mathematics program, delivered a heartfelt speech of gratitude on behalf of her fellow graduates. She expressed profound appreciation for the unwavering support received throughout their academic journey and shared their aspirations for the future. Her words echoed the sentiment of the entire graduating class, inspiring hope and determination among those in attendance.

Dr. Juancho A. Intano, the dedicated Campus Director, extended his acknowledgment and gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. He recognized the efforts of the faculty, staff, and organizers in ensuring a memorable and meaningful graduation ceremony. Their commitment to providing quality education and guidance played a vital role in shaping the graduates' future.

Ms. Ma. Venus Delilah A. Esquivel, the President of the College Alumni Association, led the alumni in reciting the Alumni Oath and Pledge of Loyalty. This symbolic act represented the graduates' commitment to uphold the values instilled by their Alma Mater and contribute to its growth and success. It marked the beginning of their lifelong connection to the university and their dedication to supporting its mission.

The NEMSU-Cantilan Hugyaw Chorale, under the talented direction of Mr. Paul Carmel C. Buniel, created a melodious atmosphere by performing the University Hymn. The heartfelt rendition evoked a sense of nostalgia and pride among the attendees, fostering a deep connection to their alma mater.

With a profound sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the future, the graduates bid farewell to their Alma Mater during the Recessional March. This poignant moment marked the end of their academic journey at NEMSU-Cantilan and symbolized the beginning of new chapters in their lives.
