The Research and Innovation Office, led by Director Dr. Erwin B. Berry, and the Graduate School under the leadership of Dean Dr. Jennifer Montero, successfully spearheaded a 2-day Training on Thesis/Dissertation Advising, Paneling, and Publication on September 5-6, 2025 at the NEMSU New Board Room.

With the full support of the University Vice Presidents and the University President, Dr. Nemesio G. Loayon, this initiative gathered key officials, graduate school faculty, visiting professors, and staff in a collaborative academic endeavor. The activity highlighted the institution’s strong commitment to strengthening research capacity and elevating scholarly outputs across its programs.

Guided by the expertise of Dr. Arnold C. Alguno, Research Management Director of MSU-IIT, participants engaged in intensive discussions and hands-on learning designed to improve their skills in thesis and dissertation advising. The sessions also covered the intricacies of research paneling and the fundamentals of producing publishable scholarly works.

This training emphasized both academic rigor and practical strategies, ensuring that faculty members are better equipped to mentor students and contribute to high-quality research.
