North Eastern Mindanao State University proudly participated in the 1st International Cultural Exchange (ICE) Program virtually conducted by Polyteknik Piksi Ganesha, Indonesia on July 24, 2025 via Zoom. The event was spearheaded by the Office of International Affairs in coordination with the Office of Culture, Arts, and Sports of NEMSU.
The faculty and students of the Department of Languages of the College of Arts and Sciences, PATHFIT, the College of Teacher Education, and the ELT program of the Graduate School successfully represented NEMSU in the international virtual platform.
The 1st ICE Program with its theme Culture Connect!, participated by different international universities of the ASEAN region including NEMSU, was driven to enhance knowledge and open cultural cooperation networks between participating international partners through the showcase of different cultural performances.
The cultural performances highlighted the different music and dances that mirrored the culture and traditions of the participating institutions. The active and meaningful involvement of the faculty and students coupled with the proactive support of the University administration, the North Eastern Mindanao State University was able to recreate the cultural performances of the Itik-itik (Duck) and the Karatong dances, which garnered distinctions:
