Having overpowered their opponents in the categories of Pin Weight, Bantam Weight, and Half Light Weight divisions, NEMSU Main campus bagged 3 out of 4 medals against San Miguel, of which has only won the Feather Weight category.
During the first round, Mark Jade Logronio of Tandag campus swiftly and efficiently landed several blows to his opponent Jorgevic Nier, garnering a score of 9-3 in favor of Logronio.
This was followed by the Bantham Weight category, of which was also sweeped by stronger and faster blows by Ram Patrick Revilleza on his opponent Melicar Sullano.
Hope was lost when Revilleza overwhelmed his opponent by a huge continuous lead that led to Sullano's defeat scoring 12-4.
Amidst the fierce competition, the third round provided a glimmer of hope for Team San Miguel. Perfecto Logronio and Daryl Mahinay engaged in a swift duel that showcased their speed, power, and agility.
However, a few minor missteps and errors proved to be Perfecto Logronio's downfall, ultimately leading to his opponent's victory.
The fourth and final round saw Tandag Campus' Karl Fernandez effortlessly assert his dominance over Julius Caong. With quick moves and unyielding determination, Fernandez overwhelmed his opponent, securing Tandag's final triumph with a score of 10-1.
