In preparation for the upcoming ISO 9001: 2005 the Library Management of North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) conducted a two days NEMSU Librarians ‘Meeting and Workshop held at Big Times Beach Resort, Lianga, Surigao Del Sur last June 23-24, 2022 spearheaded by the Director of Libraries, Mrs. Aida C. Osorio with the approval of the University President, Dr. Baceledes R. Estal.

The meeting/workshop begun with a prayer via multimedia presentation followed by a welcome address from Ms. Jehoney V. Alboroto, MSLIS Lianga Campus Librarian. Ms. Michelle Ann U. Ortega facilitated the workshop. The agenda were: 1) Revision of Unit Manual; Collection Development Policy Statement; Library Staff Development Plan and ISO documents requirements on the Processes: QOP, SOP, QOM, RR…. The focus of the discussion was the Revision of the Unit Manual. It was agreed that some forms will be deleted. The Context of the Diagram was also tackled during the workshop. Ms. Ortega created the Process Description which the Consultant required during the ISO Training at Grand Monique, Tandag City.

On the second day, the meeting/workshop begun with a prayer via multimedia presentation followed by a recap of day 1 by Ms. Relina J. Balili, RL Cagwait Campus Librarian. Thorough discussions were made on the continuation of the meeting/workshop. Important topics were also discussed. The meeting ended at 5:00 pm with a photo op.
