Tandag City, July 26, 2024 - In a landmark event, the NEMSU College of Law entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Department of Justice, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Provincial Social Welfare and Development, Commission on Human Rights and National Commission on Indigenous Peoples. The signing ceremony, held at the NEMSU Tandag campus, marks the beginning of a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing legal education and community engagement. The purpose of the MOA is to set forth the terms, conditions, scope of work, and responsibilities of the parties involved in their collaborations on the On-The-Job Training (OJT) Program.

This program is designed to provide law students with practical experience in various legal settings, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world legal practice. By participating in this initiative, students will gain valuable insights and hands-on experience, preparing them to serve their communities more effectively.

The MOA signing marks a significant milestone in NEMSU's efforts to advance legal education and foster community engagement. It sets a precedent for future collaborations and serves as a model for other institutions seeking to integrate practical training and community service into their academic programs.
