NEMSU, through the Office of the University President, implemented its first recitation of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and Pledge, on June 10, 2024, during its flag-raising ceremony.

NEMSU, as a government institution, included the recitation of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and Pledge. This follows the memorandum announced by the Presidential Communications Office on Sunday, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, that all government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or controlled corporations and educational institutions, were ordered to include the recitation.

President Nemesio G. Loayon expressed the importance of understanding and memorizing its message to ensure all its government employees imbibe its principles.

The university holds its flag-raising ceremony every Monday at 7:45 am.
