NEMSU Board of Regents Approves Key Measures in 4th Quarter Meeting at CHED Central Office

In a landmark session held at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office, the North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Board of Regents convened for their 4th Quarter Regular Meeting, endorsing initiatives for the institution's growth and development.
The board greenlit a CNA reflecting a commitment to fair and just labor practices.
A significant SRI was approved, acknowledging the dedication and contributions of the university's faculty and staff.
Recognizing excellence, the board sanctioned a PEI.
The list of candidates for graduation for the 1st semester of Academic Year 2023-2024 received unanimous approval, marking a significant step for students on the brink of completing their academic journey.
Acknowledging the importance of seamless digitalization, the board sanctioned the procurement of direct Internet access, aimed at enhancing connectivity and fostering a technologically advanced environment within NEMSU.
In a move to bolster academic research, seven research centers will be established within the university, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and scholarly pursuits.
The board underscored its commitment to the welfare of Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) employees by approving gratuity pay.
Recognizing the evolving landscape of the academic community, the board greenlighted a faculty reclassification to ensure that faculty welfare is an attended concern as a University.
A groundbreaking agreement was reached between NEMSU and the Catholic Bishop of Tandag Inc., signifying a collaborative effort to utilize and share resources for mutual benefit through a lot area of more than 1,000 square meters for the pathway to Cagwait Campus' entrance.
The comprehensive Faculty Development Policy and Admission and Retention Policy was approved, emphasizing continuous learning and professional growth.
Acknowledging the need for stability during transitional periods, the board approved the hold-over capacity of designees until January 31, 2024.
The decisions made during this meeting are poised to propel NEMSU into a new era of academic excellence, technological advancement, and collaborative partnerships.
Comm. Jo Mark M. Libre, NEMSU's BOR Chairperson, presided the meeting. He also expressed his gratitude to NEMSU for its full participation and support during the flag raising ceremony held yesterday.
