Today, the officials and personnel of North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Main Campus joined the nationwide celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day at the Old Town Hall of Tandag City, Surigao del Sur. NEMSU President Nemesio G. Loayon led the university's participation, accompanied by other key officials, faculty and staff. The Malisto Dance Troupe of NEMSU Main and other schools also offered dance presentations showcasing the rich culture of the nation.

The event was graced by the presence of City and Provincial Officials, representatives from various government agencies, and education sectors.

NEMSU’s participation displays its commitment to nurturing a deep sense of national identity and civic responsibility among its students and stakeholders. This national event participated by NEMSU reinforces its dedication to not only academic excellence but also to empowering a community that values and upholds the ideals of freedom, democracy, and unity.
